UNDERGRADUATE
Our fashion institution provides innovative undergraduate fashion and design programs that lead students through foundational practices, enabling them to progress steadily towards expertise by the time of graduation. Students are guided through a curriculum rooted in creativity and academic excellence, with a hands-on and multidimensional approach that fosters holistic learning.
Associate of Applied Science in Fashion Design
This fashion program allows students to understand the fundamentals of the design process. From fashion illustration to creating your professional fashion portfolio to pattern cutting and digital design, students will learn how to create their first fashion collection upon graduation.
Associate of Applied Science in Fashion Styling
This program is the driving force behind visual communication. Through its fashion styling classes, students understand the fundamentals of fashion styling while learning about editorial photography, creative direction, trend forecasting, and visual merchandising. Guided by industry experts, students learn about the dynamic world of fashion styling and creative expression, gaining invaluable insights to drive their success in the industry.
Associate of Applied Science in Fashion Business
Fashion Business students learn about the world of business creation and management. Through this program’s fashion business and fashion marketing classes, students learn about creative entrepreneurship, business development, marketing, production, and branding while gaining market insights and a deeper understanding of the fashion industry.
Associate of Applied Science in Kitchen & Bath Design
Within this program’s interior design courses, students receive a specialized education regarding kitchen and bath design through drawing skills, materials, drafting, and digital design. From both creative and practical standpoints, students will be introduced to architectural and technique principles to then go more in-depth into their design proposals.
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design
At our fashion and design school, this program provides a deep understanding and expertise in the world of garment construction, digital design, and collection creation. With specific courses attending to the needs of the industry, students learn from traditional fashion design practices to innovative technological skills, having, by the end of the program, a well-rounded knowledge of this discipline.
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Styling
Within the fashion styling classes in this program, students will learn about the fundamentals of fashion styling, allowing them to progressively learn about fashion photography and videography, advertising, digital communications, editorial styling, creative and art direction, and more. Students will also participate in industry projects such as runway styling preparation, creative direction, fashion styling portfolio creation, and brand partnerships within the fashion and design industry.
Bachelor of Science in Fashion Business
Bridging creativity and business, the fashion business program allows students to gain an in-depth understanding of luxury business models, digital marketing strategies, business plan creation and management, production, supply chain, and beyond. Within this program’s fashion business courses, students will be able to analyze current business benchmarks and apply them to their own business proposal, including all aspects, from product creation to marketing and logistics.
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design
The interior design courses within this program offer a complete curriculum teaching students from areas of technical design, architectural principles, digital design, drafting, and rendering. With a strong foundation in design principles, students will tackle courses ranging from architectural drafting to lighting design, developing a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of how interior spaces influence human experiences.

Master of Arts in Fashion Luxury and Brand Management
This Master’s program trains students in management, digital marketing, and creative entrepreneurship and direction in relation to the fashion and luxury goods industry. The program's purpose is to teach adapting communication strategies and business proposals, guided by industry professionals as professors.
Virtual Master of Arts in Digital Communication and Social Media Strategy
This program offers a dynamic exploration of digital communication and the best strategies to enhance a brand’s visibility in the competitive market. From learning the practical aspect of digital marketing and experiential media exploration to the best management strategies, upon graduation, students will be ready to thrive in diverse roles within digital communications and social media spheres.
Master of Arts in Fashion Design
Being one of the great designers in this industry is no easy task, but with this program, we take fashion designers from this generation to the next level. Designers know that through creation, practice, and the right mentors, they can be the next top designer. Through a carefully curated curriculum, students explore various topics, from innovative pattern cutting and advanced portfolio design to entrepreneurship in fashion and the future of sustainable fashion.
Master of Fine Arts in Interior Design
Throughout the program, students delve deep into design theory, exploring concepts that merge functionality with aesthetics. They learn to conceptualize, visualize, and execute innovative design solutions that cater to diverse needs and enhance the human experience. VOCATIONAL
Istituto Marangoni Miami’s Vocational Program allows you to take your passion and aspirations into reality through practical studies in the areas of Fashion Design, Fashion Business, Fashion Styling, or Interior Design. Our One-Year Programs are meticulously designed to provide you with an accelerated and hands-on learning experience through four progressive levels spanning 11 weeks each. This program allows students to enhance their continuing education by equipping them with professional skills in the fashion field of choice and provides them with valuable industry experience. From specific fashion design courses to fashion management knowledge, fashion styling fundamentals, or even interior design courses, these programs are tailored for you to make that dream a reality.
One-Year Vocational Program in Fashion Design
Through an intensive and fast-paced curriculum, Design students are able to delve into the fundamentals of the field learning fashion illustration, pattern cutting, fabrics and materials and history of dress. As the program progresses, design students acquire a deep knowledge in garment construction, usage of digital design tools and ultimately creating their own fashion collection.
One-Year Vocational Program in Fashion Styling
This fashion styling program is perfect for those with a keen eye for fashion and an interest in curating stunning visual narratives. Students will learn the art of creating compelling fashion stories through creative direction, image consulting, editorial photo shoots, wardrobe selection, and trend forecasting. With this knowledge and practice, students will have the ability to work in vast areas, such as art directors for fashion brands, personal fashion stylists, or marketing directors within the fashion industry.
One-Year Vocational Program in Fashion Business
This program is designed for individuals interested in the world of fashion entrepreneurship and management. Students will gain a solid foundation in business principles specific to the fashion industry, including marketing, branding, merchandising, retail operations, and trend analysis. This program teaches students the essential skills to navigate the business side of the fashion world successfully while also providing them with the opportunity to engage in practical exercises involving real-life case studies.
One-Year Vocational Program in Interior Design
This program provides students with the knowledge and skills required to excel in the world of interior design. Throughout the program, students learn about the principles of design, spatial planning, color theory, materials selection, and even project management. Moreover, they engage in hands-on projects and exercises that allow them to apply these principles to real-world interior design challenges.
11-Week Level Courses in Fashion Design
The fashion courses within this level allow students to learn the core skills for becoming a fashion designer. Through an intensive and fast-paced curriculum, Design students learn about the fundamentals of the field, including fashion illustration, pattern cutting, fabrics and materials, and the history of dress. Moreover, students are able to turn in their first patterns for their own collection and complete a professional portfolio.
11-Week Level Courses in Fashion Styling
The fashion styling courses within this level introduce students to the professional aspects and fundamentals of the fashion styling industry. Through hands-on experience, visual communication, graphic design, and fashion photography are put into practice. This program will empower students to grasp the complexities of the fashion styling industry at an introductory level, laying a solid foundation for their future endeavors in the field.
11-Week Level Courses in Fashion Business
This level of the Fashion Business One Year program teaches students about the fundamentals of business management and marketing within the fashion industry. Students approach the fashion system through the study of the fashion industry and its historical framework, studying the principles of business and economy within the sector. They will learn about the micro and macro business environments and the principles of marketing. These courses will allow the students to understand the dynamic world of fashion business through case study practices, mock proposals for luxury brands, and hands-on experience through industry opportunities.
11-Week Level Courses in Interior Design
This level, part of the One Year Vocational Program, offers well-rounded introductory interior design courses that allow the students to understand the intricacies of the discipline. This level will introduce students to the fundamentals of interior architectural design and space planning. The basic tools for representation and expression, space, form, and design will be investigated and explored through design exercises and project-based outcomes. Standard drawing conventions for spatial representation will be identified and applied (scale drawings including plans, elevation, and sections).

PRE-COLLEGE
Our pre-college courses are made for young students aged 15 and above who are looking for a course prior to their high school graduation. Our programs are made with the objective of allowing students to delve into the fashion industry and understand where their true passions lie. Students who are searching for a career in fashion and design but do not know which discipline to choose, this program is made to gain more knowledge within the industry and identify in which area you belong: design, business, or styling.
Summer Camp
Our summer camp pre-college course was designed for students to understand the intricacies of the fashion industry. The program will delve into the main areas of fashion: design, styling, and business. Led by our higher education faculty, the students have the opportunity to understand fashion trends, learn about textile selection and garment construction techniques, explore the role of marketing and branding in the fashion world, and help build their college fashion portfolio.

As a creative, your portfolio is your DNA. That is why at Istituto Marangoni Miami, we help young aspiring creatives with their college portfolio. If you are a student who wants to apply to a fashion school, we help you create your professional portfolio with the help of our experienced professors who will guide you through the entire process.
My Atelier Experience
This program, designed for aspiring young fashion designers, offers mentorship from Bachelor-level professors to enhance expertise in fashion design and garment construction. With a hands-on approach, students learn skills in pattern cutting and tailoring under their guidance while maintaining sustainable design practices throughout the design process.

Fashion Design Programs Director
Mario Braghieri has been involved in fashion production for over thirty years. He attended Istituto Marangoni with the desire to leave his mark in the fashion market as a pattern maker. Upon graduating, he developed samples and worked in fashion production for the Nadini Group, an Italian designer label manufacturer based in Modena-Italy, which included designer houses such as Gianfranco Ferrè and Fendi. He has had the honor of working for renowned fashion names such as Emporio Armani, Maska, Cerruti, Mariella Burani, and Karl Lagerfeld. For the past 27 years, Mario has been a major player in guiding Istituto Marangoni through its international growth.

Amy Berkowitz received her BFA from the California Institute of the Arts in 1978 and soon after began working in the Film & Television industry. Amy grew up in the fashion industry, and she created her private label company, Artgear. The brand was launched in Los Angeles, and then the collection was brought to the East Coast. In 1994, Amy received her Master of Art in Teaching at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. Teaching for the last 25 years at both the secondary and university level art/ design and textile fashion design. Amy has branded various fashion collections for the market audience, bringing her expertise globally in direct market and mass consumer sales.

Nathalie Tessier studied fashion design in Paris, but she soon discovered that her passion and innate talent lay in the business aspects of the fashion industry. After graduating, she joined the internationally renowned brand Celio as a director, responsible for the design and management of international market collections, purchasing, product distribution, new store concept prototype design implementation, and marketing campaigns. Nathalie’s Paris-based experience, in which she led the marketing and production efforts with brands like Celio Sport, Dooble, and Sud Express, allowed her to give insight to her students about the intricacies of the fashion business world.

Dr. Lazo-Flores has been in the creative industry and higher education for over thirty years. She has been a design educator in both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels of interior architecture, landscape architecture, furniture design, product and interface design, industrial design, and studio art programs in the US, Singapore, Japan, and the Philippines. She has professionally practiced for over ten years, covering luxury residential design, commercial offices, hospitality spaces, trade shows, and military buildings in various parts of the world. She received her Ph.D. in Design Science and Planning from Chiba University, Japan, with a scholarship from the Japanese Ministry of Education.

He is an award-winning British fashion designer and the author of Rebel Rebel: Anti-Style. Duffty earned a BA in Fashion from Central Saint Martins, London. In 2007 Duffty became a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, and his collections have been shown at New York Fashion Week from 1998-2010. Duffty has collaborated with Reebok, Gola, and Dr Martens on co-branded collections and has served as Design Director for Gwen Stefani’s L.A.M.B, John Varvatos, and Ben Sherman. Duffty collaborated with David Bowie and was the stylist for the prestigious 2016 CFDA Board of Directors Tribute Award to Bowiel, with original costumes by Kansai Yamamoto and Donatella Versace. From 2017 to 2023, Duffty served as Director of Fashion Programs and founded the Masters in Fashion Management program at Parsons School of Design in New York. Duffty created the Kyiv Art and Fashion Days NY event during New York Fashion Week in September 2022, bringing six prominent fashion designers from Ukraine to New York to present their collections at the Mastercard Tech Hub in New York City.

Jorge Andres Castillo is a photographer, curator, and editor originally from Caracas, Venezuela. He has been teaching Fashion Photography at Istituto Marangoni Miami since 2018. Jorge has worked as a photo editor and curator for several companies, such as Fundacion Empresas Polar Caracas, Doral Contemporary Art Museum (DORCAM) and Arts Connections Foundation in Miami. His experience includes his Master’s degree in Communication Design from the University of Essen, Germany, and 20 years of experience with photography. He is now the owner and director of Jacvisual LLC, where he helps brands create their own visual communication.

She possesses a diverse and extensive experience in fashion education, branding, graphic design, and business. She has served in senior design management positions in the fashion and beauty industries. She's an expert in art, design, fashion, Korean culture, wellness, and sustainability. With a background in journalism, she covered the Britpop era and Japanese Harajuku fashion. She continued her education in London at Central St. Martins College and Goldsmiths College. With over a decade in Seoul, South Korea, she's a respected teacher, fashion stylist, professor, and social media influencer. Now based in Miami, she's a Professor of Fashion Styling at Istituto Marangoni Miami, passionately advocating for Korean and Southeast Asian fashion and culture.

Alessandro has 24 years of expertise in developing brand equity and pioneering digital marketing across different cultures, nations, and businesses. As the Chief Marketing Officer at Under Armour, De Pestel led all the marketing aspects of the brand. He served previously as Executive Vice President of Marketing, Communications, and Consumer Insights for Tommy Hilfiger Global/PVH Europe, where he executed global alignment, planning, and strategies to support the company’s product directives and initiatives. De Pestel also worked as International Communications Director for Christian Dior Parfums in France and as vice president of global marketing for Omega Watches in Switzerland.

An architect from the Universidad de Los Andes, Venezuela, Jose started his career among local top architects while developing a 5-year tutoring experience in design disciplines. His current experience focuses on upscale residential and hospitality projects. Jose covers Design Studio, Interior Graphic Standards, and Advanced Visual Presentation Techniques, among many others.

Karla, originally from Mexico City, embarked on her fashion journey at a young age. Her upbringing in Milan and Los Angeles, surrounded by the worlds of fashion and entertainment, ignited her passion for styling. After studying Fashion Design at Istituto Degli Abiti in Mexico City, then at Central Saint Martins in London, specializing in Fashion Styling, Fashion Design, and Art Direction, and finally, at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, she discovered her true calling as a celebrity stylist. Over her 25-year career, she has contributed to top magazines like InStyle, GQ, Elle, and Vogue. Karla's impressive clientele includes Thalia, Paulina Rubio, and even the former First Lady of Mexico.

Saul Kapilivsky grew up in a clothing manufacturing family. He graduated from the Academy of Art University with an MFA in Fashion Design. In 1988, he was one of the finalists in the Air France Concours International Des Jeunes Createurs De Mode, representing the United States in France. Throughout his career of over 34 years, he has worn many hats, from designing Mother of the Bride and Special Occasion gowns and creating and launching wholesale eveningwear collections to owning his own business. He has dressed celebrities such as Aretha Franklin, Diedre Hall, and Mary Hart for red carpet events, as well as several pageants such as Miss America, Miss USA, and Miss Universe.

Matthew has become a well-known and successful investor and creative director for his understanding of design-conscious products, brands and services for the luxury and lifestyle markets. Through his brand consultancy, Thermal Brands, Matthew consults with dozens of clients within the Fashion, Beauty/Wellness, Food, and Home/Hospitality categories. He has designed exclusive products and consumer experiences (installations, presentations, charity events, concerts, and Pop-ups) for such events, including the NBA Draft, Art Basel, CES, ComplexCon, KidzCon, Paris Fashion Week, NY Fashion Week, and Formula One.

Ms. Mariam Elias is an educator, designer, and writer. In the last five years, she has served in various academic institutions locally and internationally, such as Florida International University, Istituto Marangoni Miami, Miami International University of Art and Design in Miami, and Coventry University in Cairo, Egypt. She has taught in graduate programs such as the MA in Design & Media Management and MFA in Visual Arts. She has also covered courses in disciplines such as Advertising, Graphic Design, and Interior Design. In 2012, she started her furniture studio “Paradoxia Designs” which aims to create a fusion of heritage and contemporary design trends. She exhibited her furniture at several design fairs and has been featured in several magazines.

Mena Lombard is a fashion designer, fashion educator, and published fashion editor. Her designs have been showcased on different runways and red carpets, such as Fashion Week and Cannes Film Festival, and have been featured in WWD, Harper’s Bazaar, and Apparel News. In addition to being creative director at her own namesake brand, she is also a fashion editor at Avessa Magazine, and she teaches fashion design at Istituto Marangoni Miami. Lobard helps students with their creation of their collections, teaching them the fundamentals and mastery of garment construction. Born and raised in Uruguay, she has lived and studied in Argentina, Spain, and Italy. She currently resides in Miami with her husband, three kids, and two dogs.

Marangoni is one of the best fashion schools in the world, and when they opened their first school in the city where I was living, it was clear that I had to enroll. Fortunately, they had the exact program that I needed, but I would’ve studied anything just to be in this school.
